There has been a Dental Practice on Inverleith Gardens for just over 100 years.
The Practice was established just after the First World War by Archie McNabb at No.29 Inverleith Gardens who had just returned from active service having been gassed.
Further demand to accommodate new patients and new government ledgislation surrounding sterilization of instruments led to a further extension of the Practice to incorporate the property above at No.3 Inverleith Gardens.
After joining the 2 properties together, further development enabled us to create a 4th surgery and 2 dedicated sterilization rooms.
Today we have 4 full time dentist and more than 10 000 patients all registered and entitled to NHS treatment as well as access to a full a full range of Private options in addition.
The Practice was fully computerized in 2000 using one of the first integrated practice management systems and all patient notes were transferred onto computer at this stage.
We continue to try to stay current with new technology and clinical practice.

What We Do Today
As a 100% committed NHS Practice we aim to offer the full range of treatment options available under the NHS contract.
However increased Patient knowledge and interest has led to an increase in demand for treatments not available under the NHS contract, and this where we can offer these treatment options under a Private arrangement.
We have experience in providing this type of treatment over many years including:
- Tooth whitening
- Tooth coloured (white) fillings
- Tooth coloured crowns and bridges on back teeth
- Implants and implant retained crowns
These treatments and many others are available alongside standard NHS treatments
Regardless of whether NHS or Private choices are made we aim to provide all treatments to the highest standards and return the mouth to full dental health, in a comfortable and relaxed environment.
To facilitate a positive patient, journey our staff are all experienced and fully trained and registered with the General Dental Council.
