We hope you are all well.
As you may already be aware, having moved in to phase 3 of the Scottish Government’s remobilisation of NHS dentistry, there are now some additional services we can offer our patients.
As per phase 2, we continue to be available to see and treat patients who have a dental emergency with those who require an aerosol generating emergency procedure involving the use of the dental drill still requiring to be referred to the local urgent dental care centre. If you have a dental emergency, please give us a call and we will organise an appointment with one of our dentists.
We are now also welcoming patients for routine examinations. Please be aware however that there are still restrictions on the treatments we can provide:
- we cannot use air to dry your teeth which may mean we are unable to see your teeth quite as clearly as we would otherwise.
- we are still unable to use our ultrasonic scalers to clean your teeth or dental drills to complete treatments such as fillings, crowns, bridges, root canal treatments etc.
- -in order to maintain social distancing between you and our other patients, we have reduced staffing and limited appointments available each day.
Although there are restrictions, an examination offers a good opportunity to check the soft parts of your mouth for oral cancers, take x-rays to check areas we can’t always see (if required) and to give you some advice relating to oral hygiene.
If you are having any problems or would like to book an appointment for an examination, please give our reception team a call on

We look forward to seeing you all in the near future.
